Cooking with beer part 2 : Guinness Brownies

Guinness Brownies.

How to make these lovely brownies you ask?

Easy peasy !

Step 1 : You know the drill, preheat your oven to 375 F.

Step 2 :  In a medium bowl mix the following dry ingredients :

- 1 cup of flour
- 3/4 unsweetened cacao powder &
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Step 3 : Melt the following ingredients together.

- 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter  (room temperature if you want to be able to work with it)
- 8 ounces of bittersweet chocolate (I used Lindt 70%, which turned out to be really pricey, oops!)
 - 3/4 cup of white chocolate chips

Step 4 : In another bowl, beat 4 eggs and 1 cup of granulated sugar. When it is fluffy, add your melted chocolate mixture. Beat it until the mix is even.

Step 5 : Time for the Guinness. Pour 10 ounces of Guinness in your magical concoction while mixing and add 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Step 6 : Pop in the oven for 25-30 minutes and dust some confectioner's sugar before enjoying your brownies !

Recap of the ingredients you will need :
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted room temperature butter, cut into cubes
  • 8 ounces dark bittersweet chocolate, chopped
